Teito intends to leave, however he unexpectedly reunites with Mikage, then decides to stay at the church a while longer for Mikage’s sake. Later, Teito and Mikage come across another Kor. Teito resolves to protect Mikage and goes to fight the Kor on his own, but Frau soon intervenes and defeats the Kor. That night, Teito tells Mikage about his memories, and Mikage gives him words of encouragement. Meanwhile, the bishops wonder why the Kor are coming after Teito.

To the Depths of the Earnest Prayer Teito tries to make a deal with a Kor in order to see Mikage again. However, the bishops soon arrive to save him and defeat the Kor. Frau must then remove Verloren’s curse from Teito before it can consume him. The next day Teito is told all about the Kor and Verloren by Castor. Meanwhile, Mikage is forced to make a very difficult decision.

Later after a meeting with a strange old man he once again tries to leave and this time he ends up in a fight against Frau.
